Here is James displaying the gift from Grandma and Grandpa Nelson. He loves it and almost has it memorized by now!
Of course, here is James with Grandma B's gift....had to read it right there. She always gets the best books. One of the many things that Grandma B and James share is an affinity for cookies, and this book is the PERFECT thing to remind James that he and his Grandma are cut from the same mold...the only thing wrong with the book is that "dad" had eaten all the cookies...But we all know that in real life it would have probably been James or Grandma B!
Here is James and Grandma Joan - They were watching Grandma Michele and Jess on the paddle boats down in the lake.
And here is said paddle boats and lake with Grandma Michele and Jess. They LOVED it and said it was the "BEST" about the trip....(well that and everything else - like James' Birthday!)
We did things a little backwards...Opened presents, had lunch, went boating/played tennis, then had the birthday cookie and cupcake. He didn't know any better.
