Saturday after the big snowstorm Friday night, James begged to go play in it. I, of course, being a hater of snow refused to play with him. Spenny (who spent the night) happily agreed when James pleaded. Thanks Spen! They were having so much fun that, Scotty wanted in too. I stayed on the porch and took pictures....I know, I am lame, but here are some pictures...

After 4 weeks....I am READY...
Sorry to everyone who is reading this (and might decide not to read)...I really just wanted to write it as
a journal entry. Kinda sappy, I know, oh well, I am a sappy person -
so deal!
After 4 weeks of Tyler being gone, I am ready to have him home! I miss him. He is such a great dad, who takes his parenting role seriously and plays an active part in our kids lives. I know it just KILLS him that he is gone from them, probably as much as it kills us that his gone. He is an awesome husband, who supports me and all my crazy and still loves me at the end of the day no matter what. I miss him a lot. I hate sleeping alone, and waking up alone, and starting the day just me, and ending the day with just me. I've been doing projects around the house to keep my mind off of him being gone and me feeling sad and lonely (especially at night), but after 4 weeks, I want to have him around desperately. Ok, I'll get off my "poor me" attitude. I know a LOT of people that go much longer with a spouse gone, or have to do it as a single parents. I have so much sympathy (or is it empathy?) for them. Seriously there is a special place in Heaven for single parents....so much work just with the kids, and I don't even work full-time, I can't even imagine! James and Scott have been rockstars maybe even more like superheros. They talk to dad on Skype, and Scotty blows kisses and points out dad's nose, mouth, and eyes, and James sings, dances, tells about his day, or just sucks his thumb with blanket in hand just watching dad show him all the fun toys and candy that daddy bought for him. James asked everyday how much longer daddy will be gone for and when we can set up Christmas. We both are counting the days. Today we are 10 days away, and tomorrow in are in the single digits, baby!!! 9 days left!!! We just can't wait for him to come home!!! In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we are thankful for our amazing, hardworking, fun-loving, devoted dad/husband! We love you!

GO UTES!!!
Today was my dad's birthday (Cake and Ice Cream) and it was the U game, which equals a PERFECT day for my dad! Also the U killed UCLA (31 to 6) so another beautiful thing. Anyway, I was at my dad's birthday lunch and it started snowing really really hard and sticking to the ground, well I was supposed to go to work later in Park City for a once a month masterclass, but since not having put on my studded snow tires, I decided not to go.... So my mom was going to go to the game with my dad, but when it started snowing she said no way am I going to be cold and wet the whole time....I, of course - already dressed in Utah gear, jumped at the chance and my mom gladly stayed home to watch the kids. It was an awesome game. Cold, but it didn't really seem to matter - it was so fun! Thanks dad and Kevin for letting me tag along. Happy Birthday Dad...I'm glad I got to spend the day with you. I love you. And thanks mom for watching the kids. I love my boys, but it was nice to do something fun with my dad for a change. Thanks.

I'm a good mom...
Just saying, when you walk in the kitchen and find your 1 yr. old sitting on the kitchen table eating from a bag of Tootie Fruities, I think the award for Best Mom goes to me. What do I do? Grab my phone and take a picture and ask him to smile!! So now, because I didn't get mad, I am finding him on the table constantly! Bad parenting, I know.
Newly painted cabinets....
I'm done with the cabinets. All the hardware and everything is back together....so glad it is done I can use the kitchen and not work around paint and drills and hinges! On to the walls to get that atrocious red covered with a more neutral color. At least they are cleaner and more useful (with hardware).

My Home Improvement Project.....The Kitchen
Here is the UN-finished section......
You may notice that I have already put wood putty to try to fixed all the distressed markings
Here is the FINISHED section....
White Cupboards WITH handles!!! (oh, and you can kinda see in the background the tan-ish khaki color that the walls WILL be, not the red)
HALLOWEEN
So Halloween was a crazy crazy day! James had his school Halloween Walk, which was super cute. He has a good friend, Zachary Child, that was a Spider and James of course was SpiderMan so they thought that was pretty cool! After that we had to clean the house and get ready for my mom and grandma for dinner, which was supposed to be Broccoli and Cheese Soup in Bread Bowls, but I used real cheese instead of Velveeta and let it cook too long (cause I was cleaning) so it ended up curdling a little....we still ate it but I was pretty disappointed! James, Scott, and I went around the block and trick or treated while my mom held down the fort giving out candy. But James wanted to go home to see and give out candy to trick or treaters more than he wanted to GO trick or treating himself, so we only hit up like 15 houses - which I really didn't care, less candy for him. We ran out of candy quarter to 9 and I had to turn out the lights....there were SOOOOOO many treaters, I think we had like 75 to 100 kids come by!!!!! James had to so much fun and freaked out every time the doorbell rang, he had to hold the treat bowl and open the door and wish everyone a Happy Halloween, he loved seeing all the costumes! Anyway everyone was asleep at 8 and I closed up at 8:45. Early night! Next year we will have to plan accordingly for lots more kids! WOWZA
Funny faces of James...
